Ongoing research in the areas of leadership, management, training and education is at the core of AMI's ability to provide the A/E/C industry with a realiable source of innovative ideas, services, best practices and industry-specific educational programs.

Our faculty members watch both the A/E/C industry and the larger business community for the emergence of new leadership and management concepts, and investigate them to identify which of these are most useful to design firms.

AMI also conducts more formal research projects. These are often collaborative efforts by teams of AMI faculty, design firms, industry organizations, outside experts, and client organizations. These research teams come together to explore important management ideas that will improve the health and practice of both individual firms and the industry as a whole.
