EXECUTIVE COACHING
AMI provides one-on-one Executive Coaching relationships
with our Senior Fellows and Senior Faculty.
Executive Coaching is the ultimate form of leadership development,
completely tailored for the leader or organization on a
one-to-one basis with the coach. This is typically a long-term
relationship, conducted through a combination of regular
conversations, with the ability to have an as-needed conversation
when something arises.
The long-term nature of the coaching relationship enables
you to make major strides in working with organizational
and personal issues, regardless of what level you are at
when you begin.
You might seek coaching for either personal or organizational
reasons, or perhaps both.
Personal
You may wish to improve your personal leadership
skills and build a greater capacity to manage change and
stress.
Organizational
When faced with a particularly difficult challenge in
your organization, you may want or need personal help
dealing with that challenge.
In addition to the benefits coaching can bring to your
leadership skills, by working with a coach who is outside
of the organizational system, you are able to have conversations
and obtain perspectives that are unavailable within the
company.
During every executive's career, particularly at higher
levels, the day will arrive when you find yourself alone
facing a difficult set of challenges or responsibilities.
The resource of having a close, trusted advisor can mitigate
the solitude you will face as a leader in the midst of a
crisis or hard times.
As an additional dimension to the coaching relationship,
AMI offers the option of your coach being present with you
during an on-site visit. By making direct observations while
you are leading and in action, your coach can offer you
a powerful feedback tool, particularly if combined with
a 360-degree survey.
